Sledding hill

There is a new sketch up at Let's Get Sketchy today. I used this multi-photo-sketch to create a sledding hill. Here is my interpretation:

I splashed some white mist on the background and stamped black snow flakes. I also added white and green snow flakes stickers. The shimmer effect on the background is made with Prima Glass Glitter. Finally I added stickles on the chipboard for some more shimmer effect.

Thanks for dropping by! Take care!

7-years old

This is the layout that I made for my DT application at Let's Get Sketchy. It is an interpretation of the sketch that is shown on our blog today. (My layout was shown last monday as I am part of Team 2.)

Anyway, here it is:

Here is a close-up:

I used pink and turquise water color on the background, and stamped black flowers. The heart-frame is drawn by hand, cut out from a white paper with gold dots, and colored with black watercolor.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a wonderful week!

I'm a new DT member at Let's get sketchy!!!

Let's get sketchy just posted information about their new DT members, and I am one of them!!! I am thrilled about this as I love sketches! To be honest, I have kind of a love and hate relationship to sketches as I find it very challenging to create using them. But I need them as all my layouts otherwise tend to look the same. So for me sketches is the ultimate way to challenge myself, right now.

I am very much looking forward to this and I will do my very best to create inspiring layouts with high quality. If you want to read the post with the announcement and find out who the rest of the new members are - go here. My first DT layout for LGS will go live on January 11.

I hope you will be back by then! And I hope you will find a lot of inspiration from LGS's sketches and the DT samples!

Summer theme at ARTastic

ARTastic's first challenge for 2016 is up and running! The inspiration painting is "Bondi scene" by Isabelle May Hunter Tweddle. The criteria is: Summer theme.

As it is in the middle of the winter here in Sweden it was fun to create a summer themed layout. It almost felt like it was summer again for a short while. :-)

I have wanted to create a blue and white layout with these patterned papers for a while and together with a little sand color it worked perfect for this challenge.
Here is my DT-layout: (The green "thing" in DD's mouth is dill. We are eating dinner at a nice fish restaurant.)

Inspiration painting:

I have used two shades of blue water color and blue ink pads. Here are two close-ups:

I hope you want to join the challenge!!

Thanks for dropping by! Have a nice day!
