So cool to be able to write

I managed to squeeze in a layout at Scrap Perra’s March challenge. The challenge was a sketch combined with an inspiration picture. Here’s my layout:

Sketch and inspiration picture:

I followed the sketch quite closely and I picked the colors, geometrical pattern and the messy feeling from the inspiration picture.
The photo is taken the first time DD managed to write a message herself, sent it to grandpa and find out that he was able to read the message. How cool is that! The message was that she wanted him to come and try her new RC car – and he came.
A close up:
Don’t forget to pop over at Allt Om Scrap to read our new web magazine!!! It’s an awesome inspiration! I have three layouts in it and I will show them here at my blog in a couple of days.
Thanks for looking!!! Take care!

Happy Easter

I just want to wish you all a Happy Easter! I show you some crafts I have done for Easter. They are both kits from Panduro Hobby so they are not my idea. But as they are easy to make out of stuff that you might have in your stash I wanted to show them anyway as an inspiration.
I also suggest you have a look over at Allt Om Scrap tomorrow. They will publish a brand new issue of their web magazine full of inspiration. (It’s one of my layouts on the cover – and I felt quite honored when I found that out!)

I hope you’ll find a lot of time to scrap during the weekend! Take care!

This layout is made for Scrap Friends Sketch Challenge # 11. I wanted to mix the autumn colors in the photo with some "springish" pastel colors. The bird paper from Crate is my new fave.

A close up:
The feathers are chipboards that I stamped with a feather stamp. The cute little metal bird from Prima is another fave.

Thanks for looking!!! Take care!

Hello, I’m back! You haven’t noticed anything but the truth is I haven’t done any scrapbooking for five weeks. We’re renovating our house and I have had all my scrapbooking stuff packed. It’s not all finished yet, but I could finally unpack my stuff. But then I found it hard to begin… I almost had to force myself to start again. But now I’m back and I love it just as much as before! This is the second layout I’ve made (the first one is a DT-layout that I can’t show yet). It’s made for a challenge that Chantal Vandenberg is hosting over at That’s Just So Cute! The challenge is: “GO BRIGHT! GO FUN!! You don’t have to use neon colors like Chantal – but I love bright colors (the brighter the better) so of course I added some neon too!
Thanks for looking!! Take care!

Birthday party

There’s a new challenge up at Punky Scraps! The inspiration photo is a “bright, fresh, colorful party photo”. Here’s my take:

The photo is taken at DD’s birthday party last autumn. It shows a bunch of cute children but underneath it there’s another photo when they are a bit more wild playing with their party hats… I fastened the photo with some metal hinges so it would be easy to look at both the photos. The background is made with Dylusions Ink Spray, stamps and some acrylic paint.
I also want to say a big thank you for rewarding me for the Liebster Award. I have been awarded three times! during the last month and I really want to say THANKS to these kind and talented ladies. I feel SO honored and you are SO worth the award yourself!!! Thank you Diane Harsthorpe, Elaine and Di Garling!!! I really recommend you to pop over to their blogs to get inspired!!!
Thanks for looking!! I hope you want to join in on the challenge and I wish you a FAB weekend!

She doesn’t like unknown photographers

There’s a new challenge up at ARTastic! This month the criteria is portrait photograph. As I love to do layouts that tells a story I did a layout about DD saying that she doesn’t like to be photographed by strangers. All three photos are taken at her kindergarten by a professional photographer. When she was two years old she looked terrified. When she was three she didn’t want to look at the photographer at all. When she was four she was a big girl and did what she was told but she didn’t like it and she didn’t smile no matter how they tried… Quite fun to save on a layout as it captures her personality. (If you visit here regularly you know how happy and cheerful she looks when it's me who's behind the camera...)

Challenge picture: Julia Sattout, Girl in pink
I wanted the layout to look a bit like a billboard so I chose a cork-patterned paper as a background. I added some gesso, ink spray and acrylic paint. I also stamped a lot of cameras.
I hope you want to play along!! Thanks for looking!!! Take care!
